Arlo Error Code 4208 | Arlofirmwareupdate

When trying to upgrade the firmware on Arlo cameras, the error code 4208 appears. The update may begin, but it will eventually fail. If you keep trying, you'll keep getting the same error and the cameras won't sync. Even if you try both automatic and manual updates. The same vexing error message persists: Firmware could not be updated. Please come back later and try again. (The error code is 4208.)

The most common cause of this error is a problem with the network connection, such as a weak internet signal or a power outage (not enough battery juice to perform the update). To resolve this problem, follow the steps below.

How to fix Arlo error code 4208?

  • Remove all devices from the Arlo app, go to Settings > My Devices, and start over to fix all of the problems. This solution has been reported to fix arlo error code 4208 in the majority of cases.

  • If your Arlo cameras are battery-powered, make sure they're fully charged. If the battery is low or soon to die, the cameras will not be able to update the firmware. They require sufficient power.

  • To conduct a firmware update, make sure your cameras have full signal strength. Turn the WiFi off and then back on.

  • Check that your internet connection is stable and that there are no signal interruptions.

  • If the issue 4208 remains after attempting the instructions above, we recommend rebooting your base station and waiting for the automatic update window, which occurs between 3AM and 5AM. As a result, let the cameras to update themselves according to the predetermined timetable.
